It all started when…
I photographed Copenhagen Fashion Week in January of 2020. There was something exciting and altogether stunning about the way that the industrial warehouses of Reffen glistened under afternoon rain, contrasting with the bright silks of the Stine Goya show.
There was a conversation between darkness and light, soft and rough, and modern and classic that was at the core of Copenhagen’s identity. Copenhagen is not simply minimalist or beautiful; it is the very amalgamation of these two ideas— it is both cozy but frosty, dark but beaming with warmth, industrial but bursting with delicate shows of creativity and expression.
